About

I'm Arty, a romance artist from Germany doing commissions for a living.My strength lies with intimacy and emotions in erotic interactions.
While I can do single characters too, I will likely not accept work that is not in some way alligned with my strengths.I am also open for bdsm heavy themes, though I have my hard limits on that, see my Do/Don't list under prices.

UPDATE: Due to unforeseen events and my mental health taking a huge toll (on top of my unmedicated ADHD) turnaround times are currently several months long while I work to catch up on my queue.
Please be aware of this as I do not offer refunds solely for a long turnaround time.Visual references of your characters are required as I do not work off descriptions!

About commercial work

○ Commercial work always skips the queue, for tight deadlines of < 3 weeks a 60% rush fee will be applied.
○ Prices and royalty fees vary widely and largely depend on the size of your business and the expected traffic/profit.
○ I will not be able to accept every inquiry I get, especially if it's something far outside my comfort zone.

Terms and Conditions

An additional copy of these terms and conditions is included on your invoiceBy purchasing a commission, you agree to the following conditions.
Please make sure to read this carefully as I reserve the right to deny your commission if it becomes obvious that you did not read my terms.

1. By commissioning me you agree to these terms and conditions

2. Payment

  • Payment is made through Paypal invoice in either € (EUR) or $ (USD) as quoted.

  • Payment has to be made within 24h of receiving your invoice.

  • For Illustrations and Cell Shading options, payment must be made in full as soon as you agreed on a rough thumbnail.

  • For B/W sketches, payment must be made upfront

3. Cancellation and Refunds

  • I reserve the right to cancel a commission at any time, in which case you will receive a full refund.

  • I reserve the right to cancel a commission if you are offensive or abusive, in which case I will refund your payment, minus the value of work already completed.

  • You may cancel a commission at any time, however no refund will be offered once payment has been completed.

4. Image Rights

  • I retain full copyright of my artwork and reserve the right to distribute and reproduce at my discretion.

  • Your piece will be treated as non-confidential. I reserve the right to live-stream the process and post progress publicly. You may however request I do not do this.

  • All commissions are strictly for personal use. You may not edit or set them up for distribution. You may also not use them for any commercial projects. This also includes any and all blockchain-related endeavours such as NFTs!!

  • If you are looking for something to redistribute, reproduce or use for your projects (Ads, books, videos, games, prints, etc) speak to me for information on royalty fees. Those vary depending on the artwork and purpose.

  • You may not claim the commissioned artwork as your own work!

5. Deadlines

  • You may request a deadline for a commission before work has begun. Otherwise no deadline is assumed. There is a 50% rush fee.

  • I reserve the right to refuse a requested deadline.

6. NSFW

  • By purchasing a NSFW slot, you verify that you are age 18 or older and legally permitted to view and purchase adult content.

  • By purchasing a NSFW slot, you verify that all characters displayed are age 18 or older.

  • I reserve the right to demand proof of you or your characters age if there are any doubts.

7. DO / DON'T

  • My strength lies in character interactions and emotions, especially in romantic settings

  • I do not draw characters with heavily unrealistic/exaggerated anatomy and body parts

  • I am most comfortable drawing humans and humanoid creatures, although I do also draw anthros and animals! (Prices may vary though)

  • I'm okay with characters from existing franchises as long as it's in combination with your own characters! I do not draw solo pieces of existing characters!

  • I only work with clear visual references (Fullbody and a face close up depending on your commission type) - If your character has specific outfits, hairstyles or a faceclaim, you're welcome to include images of those aswell -

Can I reserve a commission slot? / Do you have a waitlist?

I offer a waitlist to my tier 3 and 4 Patrons.
Due to a large demand my waitlist fills up rather quickly but I open new slots every 1-2 months.

What's this 19% VAT on your prices?

VAT is the sales tax here in germany, it's what I pay the government to do my job legally.
Unfortunately taxes here are rather high so I have to adjust my prices in order to be able to actually live off my work.
My accountant takes care of my paperwork and legal matters, so he gets all invoices too. That's why the VAT is listed on them separately instead of simply being included in the final price.

When are your commission openings?

My openings will be at the end of each month depending on how many slots were left unclaimed.
Waitlist openings will also be at the end of every other month, I make announcements of every opening ahead of time on Patreon to give everyone enough of a heads up.Public opening will depend on how much time I have, unfortunately they will be very very irregular for a while.

How do you pick commissions?

Patreon commissions will be on a "first come, first serve" base.As for public comms:
I pick commissions based on what looks interesting and inspiring to me at that time. This can range from character designs, to overall ideas, moods and themes.
Due to high demand, I cannot accept every inquiry I get, even if I like the idea but I keep track of all past inquiries!
So if you did not get a slot, but try again next time, I will have you on a higher priority (Still not a guarantee though!)

What if I want a different type of art than what's listed?

If your desired type isn't listed or marked as unavailable, there's unfortunately not a lot I can do. I am trying to balance my health and art life to avoid overdoing myself again. If I mark specific types as unavailable it's almost always due to one of these:- I'm not comfortable in my skill level of said type to charge for them at the time.
- I simply don't enjoy doing that type at all and I would be forcing myself which would result in a very lackluster quality.Of course you can always talk to me about specific requests and we might be able to work something out, but in general I only offer what's listed in my pricelist.

Do you need references in advance?

I prefer references in the initial inquiry just so I know what kind of character I am working with. It is not mandatory to link refs in the google sign up, but it does make choosing easier for me!

How long have you been drawing?

I've been drawing for as long as I can remember. I started taking it serious when I was around 12, so more than 15 years ago!
Humans I started drawing when I was maybe 15?

Do you have any tutorials/videos/tips?

I sadly do not have any video recordings, nor any tutorials. I'm not entirely sure what topics I would cover with them. I doubt my art process is much different than any other artist though. I work with photo references a lot and I love gesture sessions.
